Our visit
So let me hear some ideas for fun things we can do on our visit down to the homestead. Leah says going to Springfield to see the Lincoln library is too long a trip to comfortably do in one day; Gualter isn't really all that interested in the Zoo. I've never been to the brewery; that might be fun...any other ideas? I think we'll definitely be down there from September 29 through October 3. We'll probably have to start heading back on October 4.

How about a trip to Crown Winery. They have a winery, lion country, antiques and we can shuffle over to Ste. Gen. There we can visit shops or take the ferry across the Mississippi.
There is also a really neat Maze in a cornfield at Bloomfield. You can even do it at night.

Sarah, maybe you need to stop at Molly and Leah's houses before you come to Cape so you can see them a little more. Not that we don't want you the whole time. Just know how it is to have to work. MOM
i asked off for Oct. 1, 2 and 3. I don't know what Bill's schedule will be like yet... I know he has something going on that Sunday and class Thurs morning.
As for activities: maybe a trip to Carbondale, or some caves!
I asked off for Wednesday too, so I am off 1st-3rd(5th). I too think a trip to C-dale would be awesome, but I am down for anything.
ZZ Top is playing at the Fox on the 30th!
These are all fabulous ideas. I'll have to run the ZZ Top by Gually, I don't know if he'll be down.
We're driving through Minnesota, so it might be not too far out of the way to stop by Molly and Bill's.
As soon as I get some free time, I'll try to nail down the itinerary.
