Mollybake Oven

Molly has been on a baking spree for the past two days. First it was decadent caramel pecan double fudge brownies on Friday....
...then she made a pineapple upside down cake and an apricot upside down cake for my dad.

She is quite the little baker.

Also, she tried to make beef stew, but it turned out to be beef soup.

Admittedly, this is not the most flattering photo of the soup. I am not a professional food photographer. The soup was actually pretty good.

So anyway, this is my (Bill's) first blog on here. Hope I was good. Please, no mean comments. I am not a professional blogger either.

Way to go, Nutsy! I'm very impressed. And I'm always charmed by Bill's writing. He should write a children's story.

Bill I give your blog an 8. It was pretty good, but you could include more funny photos of Molly.
The upside down cakes turned out really pretty (I like those plates that you have them on as well). I've never made an upside down cake...that is something I need to try.

The baking looks awesome. I'm just glad I can't sample it. When stew is too watery...take a tablespoon of cornstarch in a 1/2 cup of water. Blend completely and stir in. Keep stirring until it thickens. If you get lumps you didn't dissolve the cornstarch well enough, use a beater or whisk to dissolve.

Molly purposely made it soupier. It was supposed to be thick, but she added extra broth because she likes her stew soupy. (In other words, she likes soup better than she likes stew).
